My god, he actually swore on the Quran before the Imams of Wilayah Persekutuan mosque, JAWI Director, Datuk Che Mat Che Ali and family. I wonder what's going to happen next. Seriously, as a Muslim, it is hard for me to imagine any sane Muslim would dare to make a false swearing. Even kids know how serious matter it is if you were to swore using Allah's name to prove that you are telling the truth. Sumpah ni bukan benda main-main.

To me, it didn't really matter who this Saiful is or what he background like or the issue that he went to see Najib or that he was planted by UMNO to be Anwar's political aide and so on. The question now is, did the 'event' took place? This is what matters most. From what I look at it now, Saiful has got nothing to lose in this case. He is not ambitious, unlike the famous son in law. But should Anwar be convicted, his political life would be all but finished. Save for probably some of his diehard supporters who would still be chanting Reformasi..

Oh well, let's just wait for his time in court to disclose whatever that he said he's going to tell. In the meanwhile, in the first court session weeks ago, Anwar's lawyers claimed that they have 5 witnesses who attended meeting with Anwar in the luxury condominium in Damansara on the day of the event took place. So, I guess, let the court decide on the next course of action. It is just a bit sad that this high political drama is going to take place during the holy month of Ramadhan, next month.
